RAWQ is a community initiative dedicated to fostering empowerment and inclusivity within the Blue mountains climbing culture. Our goal is to create a safe space where women and queer climbers can acquire skills, make connections, and gain confidence. We strive to build an inclusive community, share successes and failures, learn and grow together. Whether you're a seasoned climber or just starting out, RAWQ is here to support you on your climbing journey.
At RAWQ, heavily subsidised courses aim to break down financial barriers and our advanced workshops focus on technical skills and risk management. Whether you're looking to gain confidence in traditional climbing, improve your rescue skills, or simply meet like-minded climbers, RAWQ is a place for you. Join us and take your climbing skills to new heights in a community that values diversity, inclusivity, and empowerment.
we acknowledge the Traditional custodians of the Blue Mountains the Darug and Gundungurra peoples and pay our respects. We recognize that these landscapes where we work, learn and play hold deep cultural, spiritual, and environmental significance. They are part of a living history that has been cared for over countless generations.
As we connect with these natural spaces, we commit to respecting and preserving the land, honoring the knowledge of its First Peoples, and fostering a spirit of connection, care, and stewardship.
